CIRCUS WORKSHOPS
For summer 2020, we are offering circus workshops following evolving government guidance regarding Coronavirus.
We are excited to offer private lessons in aerial skills on our freestanding aerial rig.
Learn silks, hoop, rope or trapeze with us in Surbiton, in our beautiful garden. Weather permitting.
We can assemble the rig in another outdoor (or indoor when permitted) space, providing the booking is long enough to warrant the set up time.
WORKSHOPS FOR PEOPLE IN "BUBBLES"
We can teach workshops to people in "bubbles'. The skills offered are juggling (with balls or scarves), plate spinning, hula hoop and low tightrope walking.
We can offer outdoor workshops, or in buildings where external doors and windows can be opened to allow fresh air flow. We will provide each group with sanitised equipment (before and after each use) and ask everyone to wear face masks. Skills will be taught via demonstration by a circus artist and verbal instruction, with parents and children, and members of the same household able to try skills together.
Physical contact may be limited for now, but we can still learn and have fun together, with safe, socially-distanced tuition.
We will carry out a thorough risk assessment and Covid-safe plan for each location and group.

Gosh, you were marvellous! Katherine and me were
overjoyed at how you got on with the kids! Thanks from bottom of my heart and we look
forward to seeing you soon. We really do!!
Jason - Anstee Bridge Project
I just wanted to say a big thank you to you and your team yesterday!
By all accounts, the children absolutely loved the sessions and parents were delighted to hear how much fun they had.
Grace - United Learning
We love to tailor each workshop to its participants, the venue and any desired learning outcomes.
We believe in having fun, challenging our students, building confidence, forging friendships and staying safe.
Sometimes a structured workshop is best, sometimes drop-in circus skills works better. We can tailor our teaching to both styles.

PRIVATE AERIAL CLASSES
APRIL TO SEPTEMBER
We can now offer private aerial classes, outdoors in Surbiton, in our peaceful garden.
You can book a one-to-one class or share it with people in your household / bubble.
Classes available in silks, hoop, covered rope, straps and static / dance trapeze.
We teach adults and children, beginners and advanced students.
Our mats are sanitised between users, and equipment is either quarantined or washed between users.
Please call 07984017223 or email mail@circussuburbia.co.uk to enquire.
In the case of wet weather, classes will be re-scheduled or refunded.
Classes cost £40 for 75 minutes (10 minutes warm up, 1 hour on the equipment, 5 minutes cool down).
Booking multiple classes reduces this price to £35 a class, and a £5 discount is offered if you provide your own equipment to be rigged on our structure.
Aerial circus is an activity which carries physical risk, and whilst we try to limit the physical contact between student and teacher, sometimes we may need to jump in and give physical assistance or to administer first aid. Whilst we try to avoid touching students, we would rather stop someone from falling than maintain a strict policy of no physical contact. Our teachers use hand sanitiser regularly throughout the class and wash hands thoroughly before and after each session. We ask students to only attend if feeling well, and to inform us of a positive test for Covid-19 so that we would be able to inform any other students who may have been exposed to us. We welcome students to wear a mask, but do not require it as we are only teaching outdoors where the risk of airborne transmission is believed to be greatly reduced.
